A Simple Guacamole

A simple and irresistible Guacamole that is a crowd-pleaser and can be enjoyed with some nachos, a spread on toast, topped in a burrito, taco or bowl and no one will be charging you extra for guac!
A Simple Guacamole
Yield: 4 individual portions
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients & Utensils
1 medium-sized Mixing Bowl / Mortar and Pestle
1 Fork/Potato Masher
4 very ripe Avocados
1/2 Red Onion, finely diced
2 Roma Tomatoes/ 1-2 handfuls of Cherry Tomatoes, finely diced
1 Lime
1-2 pinchs of Salt (adjust as per your preference)
1 handful of Cilantro, coarsely chopped
1 pinch of Paprika/Red Chili Powder (optional)
Let's Get Cooking!
1. In a mixing bowl, first add the Avocados and mash with either a Fork/Potato Masher. Once this is well mashed, add the remaining ingredients one-by-one. Continue to mash and fold the ingredients together. The consistency should be very smooth (no clumpy Avocado bits) and even allowing for a spoon to easily glide making swirl patterns.
If you are using a Mortar and Pestle: Add the Avocados one-by-one depending upon the size of your Mortar and Pestle. Initially "bash" the Avocado and when all of the 4 Avocados are combined, use the pestle to "muddle" the Avocado in a circular motion against the sides and bottom. Muddling will create that "creamy" consistency. Add the remaining ingredients one-by-one and proceed with step 2.
2. At this point do a taste test! Testing your homemade Guacamole is the best way to ensure it is to your taste preference. If you like a little bit of heat, try adding a little bit of Paprika/Red Chili Powder.
Add this to your Burrito Bowl, Taco or even on some Toast!

Notes
1. Substitue any of the ingredients to your dietary preferences.
2. Storage: This can be stored in a glass container/tupperware in the Fridge for 3-4 days. However, I don't recommend batch meal prepping this and storing in the Freezer since this is best served when freshly made.
3. Variations: You can even add Garlic & roughly chopped Cilantro to this recipe!
