Cinnamon Dolce Latte

Who knew you could make your own Starbucks drink, in the comfort of your home and save a few bucks?!


A hug in a mug that will keep your tastebuds cozy and your soul in the Autumn-isk spirit no matter what part of the world you are at. This beverage is best served hot and made with a homemade Cinnamon Dolce syrup, steamed milk, home brewed espresso and a dash or two of Pumpkin Spice Mix!

Cinnamon Dolce Latte

Yields: 1 cup
Prep Time: 2 minutes
Cook Time: 3 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients & Utensils

Cinnamon Dolce Syrup

1 cup Water

1 cup Brown Sugar 

2 Cinnamon Sticks 

3 Cloves/ Laung

Sauce Pan with ladel 

1 Strainer


Cinnamon Dolce Latte 

Steamed/Frothed Milk (of your dietary choice)

80 mL of Espresso or 1/4 cup of Brewed Coffee 

2 tablespoons Cinnamon Dolce Syrup (adjust as per your sweet preference) 

Pumpkin Spice Mix (or substitue with Cinnamon Powder) 

1 Coffee Cup 

1 spoon  

Let's Get Cooking!

Homemade Cinnamon Dolce Syrup


1. Add all of the ingredients into a sauce pan on a low heat. 


2. Use a ladle to constantly stir the mixture until the brown sugar completely disolves. Once the brown sugar is disolved, the mixture will turn into a brown simple syrup that will make your entire kitchen smell like Fall.   


3. Strain your homemade Cinnamon Dolce Syrup into a mason jar. Allow this to completly cool down before closing it with a lid.   


Cinnmon Dolce Latte


1. Now that you've made your Cinnamon Dolce Syrup it's time to assemble!


2. Add a couple of tablespoons of the Cinnamon Dolce Syrup into your favourity coffee mug. Adjust as per your preferred sweetness. 


3. Next, add your esspresso or brewed coffee, steamed/frothed milk and finally a sprinkle of Pumpkin Spice Mix. You can substitue the Pumpkin Spice Mix with Cinnamon Powder! 


4. Stir with a spoon and enjoy your homemade Cinnamon Dolce Latte in the comfort of your own home!

Notes

1. Substitute the ingredients to your dietary preferences.


2. Substitutions: Instead of Brown Sugar, you can use granulated/cane sugar. But the ratio of water to sugar would be 1:2. 


3. Storage: The  Cinnamon Dolce Syrup can be stored in a glass jar for up to 3 days in a cupboard or up to 1 week in the fridge.
